We adhere to HSE advice:

If inpatient is isolated 14 days with 5 days fever free and clinical improvement then we discontinue isolation precautions. This is done in conjunction with the Respiratory Consultant. Hello all

In hospitals that are fit-testing, what do you advise staff who have beards and CANNOT be fit-tested?

Are they removed from the area? Recommended not to work with patients with COVID? Cannot intubate or extubate patients? etc.

Good morning Judith

We don’t have an IV team in Beacon; we do have a phlebotomy service that take bloods from inpatients in the mornings but they do not manage IVs. I think SJH have an IV team and have completed a lot of work on IV Management, surveillance and education.
