I am looking to source good quality bins with a sensor on the lid for operating them. As I work in an area with people with a lot of physical disability they cannot use foot pedal operated bins.
For areas where we are only disposing of hand towels is it ok to have an “open” binThanking you all in advance

Hi Edith,
Apologies for the delay in my reply.
I really need to get into a regular habit of checking this site!
We did not use a specific isolation poster outside any of our rooms in which patients colonised with CPE/ CRE are nursed within.
What i did up for the staff was a donning & doffing of the full- length PPE, because it was full length…[Read more]

Dear colleague,
We currently have 4 cases of LRVRE on a surgical ward in SVUH. If cases or patients from the affected ward are transferred to another hospital, we will be in contact.
Please be aware of the possibility that patients transferred from SVUH may be colonised with LRVRE.
Kind regards

Dear All, just wondered does anyone have a guideline in relation to frequency of updating patient notes. Where do you record your note on the patient and how often do you update it?
Thank you Judith
