      Hi Mary=

Contact your local stores department and they should be able to give you a list and also contact numbers for the reps covering your area

We use Cutan, supplied by Deb here in Drogheda, Dundalk and the cottage but it’s one of many great companies – Educational support from Cutan is very good

I was at conference last week, many companies present are aware of the current situation and may be able to help you in the short term till a change over is done

      Hi Noeleen,

Do you mean how often lead HH auditor training is required of how often clinical HH audits are required ?

It is my understanding that lead HH auditor training is once off, but could be wrong & local risk assessment is used to define how often observational HH audits are undertaken in the clinical area

      Hi Terry

We have not introduced them but advise & advocate them strongly in clinical areas in covid outbreak- I have noticed an increase in wearing of same but that is personal choice

      Kind regards

      Dear Emer,

Visiting in Drogheda remains prearranged however the guidance is so loose and its on “compassionate grounds” . Defining that word is impossible. Also each clinical area has a different interpretation of what that means and what one ward considers compassionate is not necessarily the case on the next ward but the patient and the family are the same !

Nationally visiting or access guidance is retired and hospitals have to risk assess and ensure access is reasonable – we are currently trying to keep to prearranged visiting and have proposed set times to undertake this but its waiting SMT approval. The older part of the hospital has a  lot of  multi bed rooms, and they are the main issue. I am not sure how long more we can sustain the “loose” policy as its causing a lot of patient anxiety which can be seen in the complains nursing managers are dealing with

      Good Morning All

I am very much thinking along the same lines as Alison, I think its madness when we are trying to reduce agency movement, working so hard to reduce the risk for students and we are now going to let outside personal in to do an audit which as Alison said the majority of which could be done virtually. I presented my thoughts to senior nursing management yesterday and plan to do same to the senior hospital management next week. Has any hospital had the audit yet ?
